The Snap change is a close-up magic trick in which a card held by the magician appears to instantly change into another card.

Typically, the magician will hold the card between finger and thumb, displaying it for a moment, and the change itself will be accompanied by a gesture in the other hand or a finger click.

This trick is pure sleight of hand. It does not require anything special about the deck, cards, or the magician's hands. It is, however, not surroundable. In most versions of the trick, the magician's grip on the card alters at the point of the change; a variant where it does not do so exists, but is considerably harder to perform. A variant where the entire deck is used at once also exists.
